چکیده

2014 The stability of the SDW phases in (TMTSF)2ClO4 can be interpreted by simple arguments of anisotropic Fermi surfaces nesting : first, we show that anion ordering, by introducing new Bragg’s reflexions, perturbs the nesting and lowers the SDW stability. Then, we improve Gor’kov and Lebed’s argument on the effect of a magnetic field on nesting by allowing the wave vector Q(H) to adapt to the field so that nesting is quantized. We predict that H induces a succession of SDW phases with Q(H) varying linearly, separated by first order transitions with Q(H) discontinuities. At low T, the Hall voltage is constant within in SDW phase, as in the Quantized Hall Effect This is in agreement with the Hall effect data. J. Field-induced spin-density-wave phases in TMTSF organic conductors: quantization versus non-quantization

We study the magnetic-field-induced spin-density-wave (FISDW) phases in TMTSF organic conductors in the framework of the quantized nesting model. In agreement with recent suggestions, we find that the SDW wave-vector Q deviates from its quantized value near the transition temperature Tc for all phases with quantum numbers N > 0. Deviations from quantization are more pronounced at low pressure a...

Field induced spin density wave phases in (TMTSF)2ClO4 at high magnetic field

We propose a model to study the spin density wave (SDW) phases under a high magnetic field in the relaxed (TMTSF)2ClO4 salt where the ClO4 anions undergoe an orientational ordering transition. This opens a gap at the original Fermi surface and leads to a two band energy spectrum. We show that, in the high field regime, a competition takes place between the interband and the intraband SDW order ...

Spin-density-wave transition of (TMTSF)2PF6 at high magnetic fields

The transverse magnetoresistance of the Bechgaard salt (TMTSF)2PF6 has been measured for various pressures, with the field up to 24 T parallel to the lowest conductivity direction c. A quadratic behavior is observed in the magnetic field dependence of the spin-density-wave (SDW) transition temperature TSDW. With increasing pressure, TSDW decreases and the coefficient of the quadratic term incre...

Sign Reversal of the Quantum Hall Effect and Helicoidal Magnetic-field-induced Spin-density Waves in Organic Conductors

Within the framework of the quantized nesting model, we study the effect of umklapp scattering on the magnetic-field-induced spin-density-wave (SDW) phases which are experimentally observed in the quasi-one-dimensional organic conductors (TMTSF)2X. We discuss the conditions under which umklapp processes may explain the sign reversals (Ribault anomaly) of the quantum Hall effect (QHE) observed i...

Impurity controlled Superconductivity/Spin Density Wave interplay in the organic superconductor : (TMTSF)_2ClO_4

– The study of the anion ordered (TMTSF )2ClO4(1−x)ReO4x solid solution in the limit of a low ReO− 4 substitution level (0 ≤ x ≤ 17%) has revealed a new and interesting phase diagram. Superconductivity is drastically suppressed as the effect of ReO− 4 non magnetic point defects increases following the digamma behaviour for usual superconductors in the presence of paramagnetic impurities. Then, ...
